James Gray are working with a leading main contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Milton Keynes.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will provide support on all commercial aspects of the projects. Your duties will include:

* Preparing, negotiating, and analysing all costs for budgets

* Procuring and managing sub-contractors

* Managing all sub-contractor payments

* Advising on various legal and contractual issues

* Producing cost valuation reports

* Assisting in the management of the Commercial team and mentoring Quantity Surveyors

* Liaising with the Commercial and Operational site teams

It is essential you have a Quantity Surveying degree, or equivalent qualification and be working at a Senior Quantity Surveyor level within a main contracting environment. Candidates at Project Quantity Surveyor level, looking to progress their career to a Senior level will also be considered.

You will possess strong construction experience, working on a variety of projects within commercial, industrial, sports/leisure and healthcare sectors. A strong working knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract is essential.
