Senior Land & Development Manager Job in Milton Keynes

A new opportunity with the residential development arm of one of the UK’s largest development and regeneration businesses.

Based from Milton Keynes (with flexible working), as Senior Land & Development Manager you will be responsible for residential developments across the South East you will be responsible for supporting project cost, planning, marketing, programming, procurement and management under the direction of the Regional Development Director.

Role & Responsibilities

* Working as the delivery lead in managing a programme of development schemes including; major projects, partnership deals and land-led opportunities

* Management of projects from sourcing opportunities through to pre-construction and going on site

* Negotiating terms for the acquisition of land or property

* Management of the purchase process

* Negotiate terms for appointment and ongoing management of consultants, contractors and other suppliers

* Take an active role in the planning process and working with stakeholders including local authorities to agree S106 and public consultation activities

Skills & Experience Required

* Previous experience working in a similar role for residential developer / housebuilder

* A minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience

* A proven track record in delivering a scope of works related to residential projects

* Experience taking projects from acquisition to construction

* An ability to analyse and make changes to complex financial models/appraisals as you are negotiating land deals

* Experience of housing of all tenures including housing for affordable rent, low cost home ownership, housing for outright sale, market rent, intermediate rent and key-worker accommodation

It would be highly advantageous if you have a pre-existing relationships within the Milton Keynes and sub-regional area and be able to call upon these to help identify development opportunities or when working through complex planning with local authorities.

This role is based from our client’s regional office in Milton Keynes, as you will cover sites across the South East you will need to be geographically mobile.
