Senior Environmental Health Officer

A client of mine in Amersham is looking for a Senior Environmental Health Officer to join their team initially for a 4 month period but with a view to extend beyond this, this is a part time role of 22.5 hours per week working Monday to Wednesday.
To execute a personal caseload across the range of environmental health disciplines of the Shared Service to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with policies, procedures and performance indicators including:

The inspection of all food businesses according to the risk they pose to consumers
The sampling of foodstuffs and other Public Health and Safety samples
The investigation of notifiable diseases
The administration and maintenance of the National food hygiene rating system in accordance with policies and procedures
The targeted inspection of all workplaces and work related activities according to the risk they pose to employees and members of the public
Undertake topic based initiatives and campaigns inspections and promotional campaigns in relation to food and health and safety
Carrying out visits to assess risks with regard to food safety and health and safety
The investigation of all serious accidents and dangerous occurrences using HSE guidance
To identify and respond to major food safety, health & safety and other public health issues which could affect members of the public and businesses
Evaluate new businesses and put in place a scheme for risk assessment
Ensuring the website is kept up to date with relevant information as assigned
Respond to enquiries and complaints about Covid-19 related issues
Qualifications
Educated to a degree level or equivalent
A professional qualification in Environmental Health
To be a voting Member of the CIEH and hold the EHORB qualification
