Position: Senior Engineer
Location: Initially Buckinghamshire, with travel thereafter
Salary: 40,000 – 50,000 per annum plus benefits including car allowance, pension, holiday, private medical
 
Privately owned and expanding Contractor that recognises and rewards hard work is seeking to appoint a Senior Engineer to a recently secured Highways project in Buckinghamshire.
 
In this role, you will be holistically responsible for managing the technical delivery and assurance of the project, reporting into the Project Manager.  You will manage a small team of Junior Engineers whilst working closely with the workforce and Supervisors.
 
With exciting growth plans over the next 3 years, this role represents an excellent opportunity for you to achieve relatively quick promotion to Site Agent and beyond. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Managing and coordinating the Junior Engineers across setting out and quality control
Develop look ahead programmes and measure productivity weekly
Complete ITPs and RAMS in a timely manner
Manage all TQs and RFIs, working with the Client
Ensure the team and workforce fully understand what is required
Track non-conformance and any Client instructions, keeping comprehensive records
Taking off and site measures for material procurement, ensure all delivery tickets are coded and passed to the Quantity Surveyor
Keep a full and accurate daily site diary
Adherence to policies and procedures 
To be successful in this position, it is anticipated that you:

Hold an HNC/HND or Degree qualification in Civil Engineering
Have strong experience in working as a Section Engineer on an infrastructure project
Understand the principles of the NEC form of contract
Be able to demonstrate an understanding of Engineering Principles
Have technical knowledge of highways construction
Be computer literate
Hold relevant CSCS Card / SMSTS / TWC etc
