Senior Engineer – Major Build Projects

Buckinghamshire

Up to £60,000

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Engineer. My client are a very well respected Main Contractor with a strong order book leading into the next four years who are one of the market leaders in the building of new industrial, retail and distribution projects. They are currently growing at a rapid pace due to their consistency in delivering these projects to a very high standard. They have a huge emphasis on both staff retention and staff development so this is a very rare opportunity to get on board with this company.

Duties

As a Senior Engineer, you will report to a Head of Engineering and will be responsible for;

Overseeing the Site Engineers within the region
Attending pre contract meetings with the Clients and the Senior Management Team
Assisting the Project Managers with their day to day running of their sites
Be responsible for a £12m scheme with multiple units
Training and developing junior engineers
Providing technical assistance to the project team where required
Coordinating the technical aspects of package handovers when required
QA where required
Checking the accuracy of sub-contractors work where requiredSkills & Experience

Ideally you will be qualified to HNC level or above in an engineering or construction related subject, supported by 5+ years practical experience in the role of Site/Senior Engineer.

You should have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a senior engineer where you must have had engineers directly reporting into you or had experience overseeing multiple sites as the senior engineer.

Requirements

Must have industrial warehouse new build experience
Must have experience as a Senior Engineer with experience of managing site engineers
Live within a commutable distance to Buckinghamshire
