Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor comfortable with managing multiple bids and effectively managing expectations.
Role
To be responsible for financial, commercial and programme controls on new and existing contracts, assisting the Operational and Technical bid teams.to provide the necessary financial reports to the client and senior staff.
Key Responsibilities
Review financial and time planning of contracts prior to commencement of work and provide overview
Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work
Performing risk and value management and cost control
Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use, identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
Assist with the end-to-end production and agreement of all claims for loss and expense, agreement of final accounts and monthly valuations
Support in company cash collection as required
Improving project profitability wherever possible
Providing advice and producing contractual claims
Valuing completed work and liaising with suppliers
Preparing and maintaining project schedules to ensure progress is tracked and reported to the client
Maintaining internal scheduling of workforce to ensure efficient use of our resource
Produce schedules and project plans to assist in our bid proposals
Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations
The Requirements
Degree or equivalent professional qualification
Ideally CCNSG and CSCS accreditations
Liaising with the Sales and Senior Management team to obtain a firm understanding of the company pipeline and potential workflow
Managing stakeholder engagement activities throughout the various stage gates of the bid management process
Aligning bid strategy alongside Business Development Managers and Client Relationship Manager
Stakeholder engagement to ensure internal sign-offs are achieved (up to board level)
Management of all stages of the bid cycle including RFI, RFQ, PQQ and ITT
Management of bid library
