JOB DESCRIPTION – Quantity Surveyor 
  
Watsham Consulting is exclusively representing a residential developer in their search for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor.

Reporting into the Commercial Director and working alongside the Buyer, this Quantity Surveyor will have full autonomy of the QS tasks across multiple sites.

The successful candidate will be based in the office near Beaconsfield but will occasionally be required to attend sites across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas. 

In order to be considered for this position your CV must demonstrate at least 3 years in a QS position, ideally with a residential developer. 

Quantity Surveyor – Beaconsfield – Permanent – Housebuilder 

Ensuring continued and effective construction by specifying and supplying sites with materials and plant
Negotiating the right price and time for delivery, enabling the project to continue on schedule
Pricing/forecasting the cost of the different materials needed for each project
Preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
Tracking changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors 
Measure and value the work done on site
Paying subcontractors
Liaising with site managers, project managers and site engineers
Select and source construction materials
Regularly reporting cost and WIP to Commercial Director  
PERSON SPECIFICATION – Quantity Surveyor 

Extensive demonstrable experience of residential house building 
At least 3 years experience in a QS role
Full eligibility to work in the UK 
MRICS desirable
