The Company
A Midlands based Main Contractor renowned for excellent project delivery and schemes ranging from £10-100m. The company has had many years of successful trading which has allowed them to build an impressive list of blue-chip clients in various different markets including Commercial, Residential & Retail to name a few. Priding themselves on creating and maintaining strong business relationships with clients and sub-contractors alike the company receives a high volume of repeat business from existing clients and use many of the same sub-contractors. The company has already secured over £500m worth of construction projects for 2021. As a result of this they are looking to expand their commercial team.
The Role
The role reports directly into a Senior Quantity Surveyor who can offer continued support and guidance should you need it. As Quantity Surveyor you will be tasked with supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor to deliver a given project from a commercial front. Typical roles and responsibilities include:
* Issuing and commercial management of sub-contract tender packages.
* Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Reviewing of contract documents.
* Manage and maintain relationships with established list of supply chain sub-contractors.
* Attend internal and external commercial review meetings.
* Aiding with submission of client valuations and management of the variation account.
* Management of subcontract accounts from procurement to final account.
* Preparation and assistance with the evaluation and submission of claims for variation works.
