Leci Groundworks Ltd are currently looking to recruit an Experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
Skills, Experience & Knowledge Required:
* Candidates must be relevantly qualified and ideally will have 3+ years previous experience working as a Groundworks Quantity Surveyor on Commercial & Residential projects.
* Knowledge of SMM / NRM essential & RICS membership advantageous.
* Candidate should be familiar with Groundworks, enabling works, drainage, foundation works, basements, infrastructure and roads.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and develop relationships
Role & Responsibilities will include:
* Appraising tender documents and preparing estimates as necessary.
* Pricing of Bills of Quantities including build costs, preliminaries and fees.
* Risk and value management of tenders. This includes identifying and advising internal teams on potential risks and opportunities in a tender/project.
* Investigate and price Value Engineering costs where applicable.
* Attend client presentations and provide information to clients in a professional manner.
* Become the point of contact with clients including raising & answering queries etc.
* Communicate effectively at all times with both clients and internal company departments.
* Attend and record details of any meetings relevant to the project.
* Ensure accurate tracking of all tender documentation.
* Research and understand current market prices for subcontractors and materials.
Working hours will be 8am-6pm Monday to Friday
