JOB DESCRIPTION – Quantity Surveyor 
  
Watsham Consulting is exclusively partnering with a residential developer based near Beaconsfield. They're in search of an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who has experience of material buying to join their privately owned and ever growing business. 

The Quantity Surveyor will be based in the office near High Wycombe and will be required to occasionally attend sites around Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas. 

Quantity Surveyor – Beaconsfield – Permanent – Housebuilder 

Ensuring continued and effective construction by specifying and supplying sites with materials and plant
Negotiating the right price and time for delivery, enabling the project to continue on schedule
Pricing/forecasting the cost of the different materials needed for each project
Preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
Tracking changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors 
Measure and value the work done on site
Paying subcontractors
Liaising with site managers, project managers and site engineers
Select and source construction materials
Regularly reporting cost and WIP to Commercial Director  
PERSON SPECIFICATION – Quantity Surveyor 

Extensive demonstrable experience of residential house building 
Technical Surveying skills
Full eligibility to work in the UK
