About The Role
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.
EKFB Are looking to recruit a Quality Manager.
The successful candidate will:
Provide assurance of key design elements and support the Construction Quality and Completions Manager.
Ensure that the quality requirements of HS2 Technical Standards Baseline and the Specification for Civil Engineering Works (SCEW) are complied with and are delivered.
Administrative support and administration of information transfer between parties (EKFB to HS2 and design teams), to provide evidence that the required reviews, commenting and acceptance/approvals have been undertaken
Review and provide approval if required of method statements and other quality deliverables related to SCEW requirements.
Receive and review quality records and provide instructions or directions as per SCEW requirements.
Increase quality awareness within the wider team particularly helping the Engineering team and any Supply Chain understand the quality aspects and impacts and what action is required of them.
Establish and maintain a programme for reporting, and demonstrating compliance with applicable legislation and industry best practice.
Assist with the implementation of BS EN ISO 9001 certification and audit against the standard and internal procedures.
Support supply chain activities to raise quality standards.
Undertake other tasks from time to time to support the wider QualityTeam.
About The Candidate
Degree qualification in civil engineering (or relevant equivalent)
Experience in management and configuration of technical standards
In-depth knowledge of competency management processes and systems
Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer (desirable)
