We are recruiting for an experienced Purchasing Manager to work for a highly-successful and specialist window manufacturing business that are embarking on an exciting period of expansion. As part of that, an opportunity has arisen for a talented Procurement Specialist to lead a small team who will be responsible for the Procurement function as well as helping to drive new and exciting strategic initiatives including the delivery of a pre-works hub that will supply next day materials to the business as well as driving the introduction of a new system.

The day-to-day function of your Department will include:

* Procurement of all sealed units

* Procurement of balances

* Procurement of paint

* Goods-in evaluations – companywide Quality Assurance initiative

* Stock control and remakes system maintenance

* Negotiations with suppliers and upkeep of relations

* Management of purchasing co-ordinator

* Monthly reports / presentations to the board

Applicants should be an experienced purchasing professional with a knowledge of the fenestration / glazing industry, able to communicate effectively with excellent negotiation and relationship building skills. You will need to be commercially savvy with an excellent handle on all day-to-day activities as well as the ability to apply a strategic approach to future proof the business and ensure that the Procurement Function serves the long-term ambitions of the business.
