Project Manager – Milton Keynes

Job Type: Full time, contract

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to start ASAP in a job in Milton Keynes.

Responsibilities include:

* Report directly to the Contracts Manager and shall be responsible for the overseeing of all projects, from start through to completion.

* Assist in the liaison with client, architects, designers and engineers on all aspects of construction projects.

* Establish strong working relationships with a wide range of people and use their own initiative and make your own decisions as well.

* Assist in the running, managing and reporting of weekly meetings.

* Oversee all external and internal works.

* Identify materials, manpower resources, tools etc needed for the project phases and arrange purchases, deliveries and subcontractors accordingly and monitor weekly.

* Timely support and advice in the selection of finishes that require the customers’ involvement to avoid delays and disruptions in the project.

* Deal with contractors and suppliers to solve and unblock any issue related to delays, amendment of orders and other delivery issues.

* Constantly monitor the expenditure per each activity, material, labour and finishing, in order to keep the budget in check.

* In general, organise and run the project programme and ensure timely delivery

* Assisting in the production of valuation documentation

* Assist in managing the Health and Safety on project sites

* Assist in the monitoring and advising of the workforce on all aspects of the build

* Cost tracking and pricing

To be successful for this Project Manager job you must have:

* Experience of construction, health and safety and project management, hotel refurbishment is preferred

* Be independent and proactive, be able to embrace responsibility

* Nurture trust relationships within the team and be able to seek advice when needed

* Be able to recognise the need for escalation whenever issues are threatening to cause disruption

* Be organised and naturally inclined to share information with the team in a prompt and easy to process way
