About your new company:
Our client specialist in residential extensions, new builds, renovations and conversions typically throughout the Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire areas.
About your new role:
Office based the Project Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Director and site operations teams and in turn aid the overall company progression.
You will coordinate multiple residential extension projects as well as new build and development projects across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.
This is a new and exciting opportunity for a pro-active and highly organised individual who has the desire to use their unique skills to bring productivity and coordination to the team.
The Project Manager will be responsible for projects from inception to completion, ensuring processes are streamlined in order to help deliver projects on time and to the highest standard.
Engaging with clients and construction professionals building valuable relationships is key, therefore, we’re looking for a team player with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Duties for the Project Manager:
– Coordinate and run the project schedule and scope of works for each project
– Quality and budget control
– Process change orders
– Manage subcontractors
– Purchasing/ managing procurement of materials in line project timeline.
– Work closely with the Managing Director and Construction team to ensure efficient project delivery.
– Always anticipate the next steps, answering questions before the client inquires, using skills to keep all team members updated.
– Lead and motivate the construction team during all aspects of the build
– Conduct meetings on site with clients, the construction team and subcontractors
– Acting as a contact point for escalations and issues, through to resolution
What you need to succeed:
– Excellent written and verbal communications skills
– Highly organised and excellent attention to detail.
-Solid leadership skills
– Experience in a Project Coordinator / Project Manager with a general building contractor.
– Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment
– Previous experience working with suppliers & subcontractors.
– Capable of thinking on your feet and solving issues that arise in a timely manner
– Competent in reading construction drawings
