A client of mine who is part of the Civil Service is looking to recruit a Project Delivery Coordinator on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract. The role will be based in Hanslope Park therefore please check this location before applying. The selected candidate will be reporting directly to the Project Delivery Coordinator Supervisor, the Project Delivery Coordinator supports the successful delivery of Projects through administrative tasks during the project life cycle. The post holder will work with all of their project delivery colleagues and Project Managers with Engineering & Operations to help ensure a consistent approach to project delivery. As part of this role they will be expected to liaise with customers and suppliers and represent the organisation in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
Role & Responsibilities
The candidates must be able to cope, in what at times, can be a stressful job with time scale that may be extremely tight. The candidates must have strong communication skills, both oral and written and be able to communicate at all levels.
* Assist Programme and Project Managers to track orders for project delivery
* Obtain quotes from suppliers to aid project delivery
* Purchase items for projects
* Place orders onto systems as required. Receipt as required and ensure delivery of orders to meet project timescales
* Ensure items are paid within relevant time scales
* Raise requisitions adhering to P2P standards
* Register supplier invoices expenditure incurred by overseas staff where appropriate, and receipt costs against purchase orders.
Customer focus
* Build and maintain good working relationships with customers and key stakeholders where appropriate
* Manage customer expectations and meet all agreed service standards (SLA's and OLA's)
* Act as first point of contact for customer/supplier enquiries
Processes (efficiencies and effectiveness)
* Ensure documentation is produced to relevant project management standards
* Continuously improve the delivery of admin functions through review and application of knowledge
Working Hours
This role is full time Monday – Friday. The core working hours are flexible, but would normally start between 8.00am and 9.30am and finish between 4.30pm and 6.00pm, with up to 1 hour for lunch. The individual will be required to work a minimum of 37 hours per week, (parity under AWR) but may from time to time, to meet specific business objectives, be required to work additional hours.
