Part 1 Architectural Assistant

I am currently working alongside an established architectural design practice based in Milton Keynes, who have a new requirement for a Part 1 Architectural Assistant to join their busy team on a permanent basis.

They get involved in an exciting array of projects across both residential and commercial architecture, however this position will be initially be retail focussed.

You will gain excellent hands-on experience as part of a small, vibrant and ambitious team where career progression is actively promoted.

Essential skills/ qualifications for this Part 1 Architectural Assistant role:

Be suitably qualified and ideally you will already have experience within a UK based practice – ideally within the retail sector.
Have strong knowledge of AutoCad, Photoshop & Sketchup.
Excellent hand sketching abilities.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
A UK driving licence & ideally your own transport.To work as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant you will be:

Working as part of a team, assisting on development of design proposals.
Assisting in the preparation of drawings, reports, visualisations, schedules and specifications.
Coordinating designs with other members of the team.
Producing planning application drawings and develop further detailed stages suitable for Building Regulation applications, tender and construction.
Liaising with clients and other consultants to develop designs and prepare documentation for tender purposes, including specification writing.
Alongside more senior members of staff, overseeing construction works on site and liaising with clients and contractors to produce complete building projects.Commutable locations for this Part 1 Architectural Assistant role:
