Multi Trade Operative – Up to £34,000 + Van– Bedfordshire

* We have been appointed by a leading residential developer to recruit a Customer Service / Maintenance Operative.

* The candidate will be responsible for handling property defects throughout a 2-year warranty period.

* The most outstanding candidate will have great practical knowledge of carpentry, plaster patching, painting and basic plumbing.

* To be successful with a growing company, you must be self-motivated, independent, efficient and capable of handling property-owners.

* Involvement with high end projects are additional. The ability to engage with the customer effectively is also essential, as is a full driving licence.

* In order to be considered for the role a strong multi-trader background is necessary. Additionally, to have experience with a residential developer, contractor or housing association.

Skills which are essential for this position:

* Pro-active approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Strong working knowledge of carpentry, plastering, making good and finishing works

* The ability to act professionally and represent the company in appropriate manner at all times

* Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively

* Current driving licence

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential and candidates should have a desire to deliver outstanding levels of customer service at all times.

A stable working history in a similar role on housing and apartment led schemes for either a new build residential developer, main contractor, 3rd party sub-contractor or affordable housing is essential
