Multi Skilled Labourer – Milton Keynes and surrounding areas – £21,000 Per annum (dependant on candidate)
Our client are a progressive contractor looking to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Labourer to join their thriving site team across projects within Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.
You will work closely with the Director of the business and Site Managers to develop a broad skill set across Multi-Trades covering trades such as Carpentry, Brickwork, Joinery etc. This role will involve working on luxurious renovation projects and new build housing.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* To learn and assist with the delivery of projects within a site team.
* To learn and assist with the installation of joinery e.g. windows, doors, skirting boards, panels, wall and floor units roofing joists etc.
* To learn and assist with the erecting of dry lining, plasterboards, plaster coats to ceiling/walls.
* To learn and assist with painting/decorating work, preparing surfaces for paint or paper using the appropriate tools and applying the appropriate sealant to fixtures and fittings.
* Understand and maintain plumbing and drainage systems e.g. repairs to WC systems, leaking taps and unblocking drains.
* To learn how to work at heights from e.g. ladders, scaffolding.
* To learn how the infrastructure and external works are carried out on projects.
* To carry out work with minimum disruption and to ensure sites and sections are left clean and tidy.
* Undertake any other general duties relevant to the post.
* Carry out works within a timely manner and to an acceptable quality standard. Record all works undertaken.
* To be prepared to attend college regularly on the designated day.
* To be willing to complete the required academic and practical training programme at college which will lead to the required qualifications.
* To ensure that course work, assignments are completed and submitted on time.
* To have the willingness to learn and grow within a team and deliver to the highest level what is expected.
* Adhere to Health and Safety on site.
