Mechanical Project Manager

A family owned, medium-sized MEP Contractor requires a Mechanical Project Manager to assist the Lead Project Manager on a £12m mechanical Cat A & Cat B commercial fit-out project in Milton Keynes.  Currently, the scheme is in the early stages of pre-construction. It is their first project for a prestigious client.

The company in question is an ambitious business with a real personal feel, that has nearly doubled its turnover in the last two years.

Candidates from both an engineering and trades background will be considered for this position, as well as strong Construction Managers and Engineers. However, it is important that you have experience working for Tier 1 M&E Contractors on significant projects. 

This opportunity is available on both a permanent and freelance basis, and appealingly falls outside of IR35.
 
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Pre-construction, procurement, and planning
Assistance with cost control of the project with close alignment to QS and Lead PM – Financial reporting to management
Technical submittals, RFI’s, noticing and rectifying flaws in design
Delegation of work to project team and sub-contractors
Health & Safety – investigating and reporting on any injuries that occur on site
