Projects Manager
The Role
My client requires a Mechanical Project Manager to take FULL ownership of a number of projects generally within the Pharmaceutical sector.
Must have extensive experience working in Labs and Clean Rooms
The Successful candidate will have a track record of managing multidisciplinary projects and possess a good working knowledge of cost control on complex building projects.
The role shall be head office based in Buckinghamshire with frequent visits to a site in Surrey.
The role will include but not be limited to the following (the role is intended for the individual to grow the role to the benefit of the company):
Report to the board of Directors on the projects being handled.
The ideal candidate will be able to take a project from sale to completion with total control/management of the project reporting to the Directors on a regular basis and consider the project totally their own responsibility and be see as a “safe pair of hand” to be entrusted with the success of the project to the satisfaction for the client and the company.
Manage the team within the project.
Be Client facing and instrumental in client relationships and development of existing and new opportunities.
Work on projects in the Home Counties and nationally.
Prepare CPP to comply with CDM 2015 regulations
Understand the roles and responsibilities of all duty holders of CDM 2015
Assist the Client in the preparation and submission of F10 and have clear understanding of when an F10 is required.
Prepare and update Project timelines using Microsoft Project and its inbuilt management tools. Monitor progress against agreed milestones, provide solutions to recover any lost time/slippage, reschedule works as required to deliver a successful project on time and budget to the overall satisfaction of the Client and the Company.
Be fully conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Promote the company’s ethos of a Safe working environment at all times. Prepare, assess, and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements for own team and Sub- contracts. Manage the Companys’ external H&S advisors in respect to site inspections and implementation of any recommendations made.
Prepare budgets for Approval by Directors and to implement project budgets by negotiating sub-contracts, manage variations and agree final accounts with both supply chain and client.
Assess Supplier/sub-contractors’ applications, variations etc.
Prepare and submit applications, valuations, and projected final cost for projects.
Prepare, submit invoices
Organize and prepare Operation and Maintenance Manuals by Project handover.The package
Remuneration will be up to £60,000 per annum with car allowance of £250 per month during trial period. Thereafter a suitable company vehicle will be made available to use based on the company’s company car usage policy. Also a personal pension contribution of 5% of salary is offered.
Annual leave will be 20 days per calendar year and will accrue in arears and can be taken at a rate of 1.67 days per months worked. This excludes statutory bank holidays. Adherence to the company’s holiday policy will be required.
Hours of work are a minimum of 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) (generally 8 hours per day with 1 hr of breaks per day). This is a senior position and the successful candidate will be expected to work the hours reasonably necessary, to perform the duties.
Occasional weekend working is required.
