RSR have established an outstanding reputation as one of the very best Construction and M&E Design Build and Maintenance companies operating in the UK and due to continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Mechanical Designer / Project Manager to join our growing team.

If you possess a solid knowledge of Commercial Mechanical Installations and a fervent interest in Design Build Turnkey Solutions, then we would love to speak with you.

Working on site with our clients, around the UK, based form our offices in Milton Keynes, this role will both challenge and enable you to grow in capability and confidence. There is an excellent support network within our in-house teams around you whilst you get to grips with the job. We will of course test and challenge your abilities, but this will enable you to evolve and expand your range of skills and capabilities as you keep learning and evolving with the job.

Our clients that you will be working with are established industry icons, as well as smaller clients. The role involves complex Design Build solutions to a diverse base of commercial clients. The projects are wide-ranging, so the challenges are varied every day.

You will be responsible for the design and delivery of mechanical works, including direct liaison with our clients, their consultants as well as working closely with our Project Delivery and Pre-Contract Teams. You will maintain close contact with site staff to ensure the mechanical installation certificates are completed and test results documented, as well as being working closely with Estimators on design.

Additional Information

Salary dependent on experience.

Essential Skills

In depth knowledge of commercial mechanical installations to current regulations.
Background in mechanical design and delivery.
Qualifications in mechanical trade.
SMSTS or similar H&S qualification.

Desirable Skills

Strong technical and communication skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire team to deliver a quality installation.
Confident under pressure, particularly in dealing with the client.
Highest levels of professionalism.
