Due to recently securing a key project for the business my client is now looking to recruit an additional M&E QS for their team based in the Buckinghamshire area.
This is a great opportunity to work on a large mixed use project from procurement through to final handover expected at the end of 2022/start 2023. This will be a role working as a number two underneath an experienced MEP Commercial Manager as a number two. Initially this role will be focused on the procurement of specialist sub contractors and will go onto full M&E commercially managing these packages throughout the duration of the project. 4 plus years experience within the M&E sector will be required and being degree qualified will be ideal but not essential. Competitive salary and package will be available for the right person with interviews taking place next week over video initially.
Experience working on M&E packages valued up to £5million would be ideal experience.
See below typical duties which may change depending on project:
To carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs and sales.
Prepare and monitor project cashflow forecasts.
Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations.
Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.
Prepare submit and negotiate project final accounts.
Commercial vetting of sub contractor tenders and contracts.
Certification of subcontractor monthly valuations and final accounts.
Ensure that business commercial processes are adhered to at project level.
Assist in preparation and adherence to project purchasing targeting and costing budgets.People Management:
Able to work well within a team based environment.
Communicate regularly with project staff and specialist subcontractors to ensure commercial controls are in place, understood and followed at all times.Administration:
Manage and produce accurate formal reports in accordance with business timetable
Monitor all commercial information in relation to project including labour, material, prelim and sub contractor cost forecasting thus ensuring budgets adhered to.
Supply all relevant information to the Commercial Manager
