Materials Controller

Residential Project, Buckinghamshire

I am currently recruiting for a Materials Controller to work on a large residential scheme in Buckinghamshire

Your key role will be to oversee all materials on site, ensuring the site team have all materials required at the right times. This is a live residential housing development.

My client is looking for someone who has a good understanding / knowledge about materials required and used on a house building site.

Duties:

Prepare detailed materials programmes and schedules throughout the length of the project
Stock control
Follow company wide procedures when ordering new materials
Thoroughly check buyer take offs and order quantity, quality and size against the contract drawings to ensure no discrepancies in material requirements.
Organise deliveries of materials
Check deliveries upon arrival ensuring that correct materials have been delivered and without any errors
Distribute materials on site to Sub-contractors when required
Ensure all materials are stored correctly and in an organised manner
Minimise damage of materials on site along with managing risk of loss.
Work with the site team Key Skills / Requirements

CSCS Card
Knowledge of site materials
House building site experience would be beneficial
Strong communication skills
