Maintenance Site Supervisor
Full Time – 37 hours per week – Split Shifts
Salary: £18,562-£22,153
We have partnered with a fantastic leading school trust, who are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Site Supervisor to join their team. The role will include a range of duties such as key-holding duties, maintenance of the school buildings and site, health and safety checks & cleaning checks. You will be responsible for ensuring that everything is prepared at the end of the day, ready for the next morning so reliability is key.
You will be required to travel between sites but will based in the trust central team. An element of out of hours' work might be required from time to time for events taking place beyond the normal day.
The main responsibilies will include:
To assist with ensuring that the premises is safe for students, staff and visitors
To assist with the unlocking and securing of the buildings and sites as required.
To assist with the reactive and planned maintenance tasks of the buildings and grounds, involving plumbing, carpentry, light replacement, furniture construction, drainage, decorating, cleaning, etc.
To assist and respond to maintenance requests arising from the Trust's helpdesk ticket system. Prioritising where necessary and completing jobs efficiently and proactively.
To assist with events and setting up/take down of furniture and equipment as required.
To liaise with staff as needed, letting them know approximate timings and any impact on their areas. Informing staff if work cannot be done and of any workarounds.
To take the lead in delivering small works and minor projects.
To lead in the planning and running of key Trust/academy events, such as Open Evenings.
To assist with any cleaning duties as required.
To be aware of and comply with Trust/academy policies and procedures, including all those relating to safeguarding, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to the appropriate person.
The successful candidate will need to have:
A knowledge and understanding of specific premises issues e.g. security systems, heating systems.
Ability to competently and safely carry out a range of everyday DIY jobs.
Ability to safely use basic power tools and other equipment to make minor repairs and improvements.
An understanding of different cleaning methods.
Ability to deal with emergencies and unexpected events in a calm, safe and systematic manner.
Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) to a reasonable standard.
Ability to devise a suitable record-keeping system for monitoring expenditure and stock levels.
Understanding to take further training, where necessary, and apply it to current position.
Previous experience of a site maintenance role would be desirable
