MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE

Are you able to carry out general maintenance tasks involving plumbing, joinery, painting and electrical work? This client needs a Maintenance Operative to join their Cabin Fitting team to help maintain and prepare their portable accommodation cabins before they go out on hire to another customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The position of Maintenance Operative involves:

General maintenance of portable accommodation cabins e.g. fitting doors,  replacing locks, painting, flooring, worktops, sinks
Cleaning and painting the Modular Accommodation units
Fitting partitions, ceilings and fixtures
REQUIREMENTS

Ideally the Maintenance Operative will have a background in:

General maintenance and multi-trade skills gained ideally in a manufacturing, construction, or production environment e.g. carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting and decorating
Able to drive a Forklift Truck
Working at Heights and Abrasive Wheels training would be useful
Confident using power tools and ideally shot blaster and air compressor
CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme) would be advantageous
Positive and flexible attitude with ability to work well as a member of a team
Perhaps you have been a cabin fitter, caretaker, or looking after the maintenance of a hotel or school and looking for a new challenge.
