Service & Logistics Support Manager, Based: Iver, Buckinghamshire, Salary up to £42k + benefits package.
We require a Service & Logistics Support Manager to work for an industry leading business who specialise in the hire of self-powered portable modular accommodation units, portable cabins, welfare units and associated products. This position could suit candidates from a fast paced Logistics / Installation / Service Manager background e.g. Facilities Manager, Transport & Logistics Manager, Installation & Service Manager, Regional Logistics Manager.
The official job title for the role is Area Operational Support Manager and reports into the Service Delivery Manager.
The role:
To work collaboratively with other regional and corporate functions to ensure a cohesive approach to customer delivery, transport, installation and after sales services. This role supports customer installs and post-installation services including repair services, maintenance and emergency breakdowns where corrective action is delivered on a ‘Right first time’ basis. The purpose of the role is to manage, coach and motivate a team of field-based engineers and an office based administration team, ensuring effective planning and scheduling of transport and engineers in line with corporate and regional performance standards, cost control and customer expectations. To maximise resource utilization with high quality workmanship, focusing on exceeding customer expectations.
Candidate requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role e.g. Transport & Logistics Manager, Installation & Service Manager, Facilities Manager, Logistics Operations Manager.
Transport Manager, Logistics planning manager, Transport Planning Supervisor
Ability to plan/schedule transport vehicles efficiently and effectively
Strong geographical UK knowledge
Fast paced Logistics background
Good level of skill in Microsoft Office products, IT systems in general
Good understanding and knowledge of current regulations in regarding to Working Time Directive and Driver’s Tachograph restrictions.
Ability to handle a high volume of telephone calls and conflicting priorities
Familiar with working in a high pressure environment
Trouble shooting experience.
Full clean driving license.
