Brief Outline

• An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Joinery Design Manager to join our client’s technical team and help with specific high-end joinery design processes throughout the company’s ongoing expansion.
• The client is looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic individual who will be involved and invested in their various projects and their progress.

About our Client

• Our client is an established high end carpentry, joinery and fit out contractor.
• They work on a diverse range of project from domestic work to multi million pound commercial jobs.
• Their turnover has increased year-on-year and have a large pipeline of work for next year already.

About the Role

• In this role you will have the flexibity to be office, site and home based, while liaising with clients, project managers, and external stakeholders. carrying out full Design Management on a portfolio of projects.
• You will be responsible for the formal reporting of each project where you will report to the Contracts Director.
• You will ensure that planning, management and coordination is successful.
• The ideal candidate will have an in-depth carpentry or joinery design background and CAD experience.
• You will be able to draw but also manage the process with other designers and draughtsman working under you.

About the Candidate

• Previous experience in design for large residential and commercial joinery projects
• Experience in design management is preferable
• Flexible self-starter with ability to prioritise 
• Analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Sound knowledge and understanding of joinery, carpentry and fit-out industry
