The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HSEQ Manager to join a fast-growth multidisciplinary main contractor, who has an enviable reputation as one of the best employers in the construction industry due to their many awards & outstanding track record of investing in their people.
Specifically, this opportunity is to take control of all HSEQ across all live projects being delivered for one of the employer's largest clients (a major blue-chip business). The employer will typically be building around 10 projects for this client within your region, at any point in time. Project values range from £20-£100m.
The Employer
The employer is an award-winning UK-based multi-disciplinary contractor, with a turnover in excess of £650m per annum.
Following another record year of growth, they are looking to add to their award-winning HSEQ team.
The Role – HSEQ Manager
As HSEQ Manager, you will be responsible for setting up and ensuring adherence to the companies high levels of HSEQ standards across your designated projects. This is a roving role, you will typically visit 2-3 projects per week within your geographical patch/region.
Early Contract Involvement – Input at the early phase of the project to identify any significant risk factors
Site Mobilisation – Implement the companies HSEQ standards
Live Site – Create and nurture a culture of high HSEQ standards
Monitor adherence to companies HSEQ standards
Head-off any potential issues early to mitigate risk on-site
Work closely with each project team to consult & advise on any potential HSEQ improvements they could make
Encourage a culture of openness and continued improvement
Undertake regular site safety checks & audits, reporting these back to the HSEQ Director. Requirements
Must have relevant experience working as an HSEQ or Health & Safety Manager on construction sites (minimum 5 years)
Must be NEBOSH qualified or an equivalent qualification
Must be able to demonstrate a good track-record
Must be available to start January
Must have a driving license
Should live near Buckinghamshire / Bedfordshire / Hertfordshire area
Could have experience working in the Industrial / Distribution sector
