Hard and Ground Works Trainee (Level 1)

We're looking for enthusiastic people to join our Hard and Ground Works Team, who operate in the parks of Milton Keynes including Willen Lake and Campbell Park.

You will complete an 18-month training scheme which includes attendance of appropriate courses. Subject to training and practical criteria being met this role will become permanent with further training opportunities available. We are offering a starting salary of £19,000 per annum.

This post will suit someone who is happy to work outside in all the seasons.

Work includes; fencing, basic woodworking, maintaining hard surfaces, working with mini-diggers and setting/maintaining fixtures such as play equipment, signage and picnic furniture.

About You

Essential

*A full driving licence is required.
*You should have good communication skills; be able to apply initiative to your work; follow instructions; and be a fast learner and a good team player
*Be able to demonstrate effective time management skills
*Be prepared and motivated to take on further training that will help enhance your individual skill levels
*Be able to communicate effectively with team members, other Trust staff, the general public and other third parties.
