We are looking for a ground worker for HS2 Small Dean compound.

As a groundworker, you'll be responsible for a variety of practical tasks on a construction site, including preparing ground ahead of building work taking place, and carrying out manual work whilst a project is in progress.

– Undertaking activities with all aspects of groundworks – such as kerbing, slabbing, concreting, assisting with drainage.
– Being involved in projects from start to finish
– Following all health and safety procedures
– Mixing and pouring concrete to make foundations, beams or floors
– Digging trenches for foundations
– Laying pavements and resurfacing roads
– Assisting bricklayers, carpenters and other colleagues on-site, by providing materials
– Marking out the area for the site using string lines and putting up barriers and safety signs
– Laying drainage pipes, pavements and manhole covers
– Operating hand machinery such as drills, pumps and compressors
– Operating machinery such as excavators and dumper truckers
– Working outdoors in all weathers
– Working as part of a gang

Minimum Competencies Required: CSCS Blue Skilled Card

Rates: £14.70ph PAYE for the first 39 hours, then £22.05ph PAYE for the rest 11 hours.

Saturdays – First 4 hours at time and a half thereafter double rate applies

Sundays – Double rate.

Start date: 29/11/2021

Working hours: Mon – Fri 7.30am – 5 pm (Monday – Friday; 1 hour break each day)

Daily Travel allowance paid per mile or Lodge allowance £41.66 per shift available for candidates located 50miles away from the job and further.
