Graduate Quantity Surveyor required for a full time position working for a well-respected Main Contractor who have been established for over thirty years

Due to phenomenal growth and a busy order book my client have the need for assistance within their commercial team. As a business they work on both new build and refurbishment projects within most sectors up to a value of CIRCA £25 million. The role will be predominately site based across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.

You will either be a recent Graduate with a surveying degree or have between 2-3 years post degree experience working within a construction environment be it main contracts, residential developer or specialist sub contractor

Duties:

* Advise on costs involved in building projects

* Evaluation of costs and advise on alternative proposals

* Advise on contract arrangements and conditions under which building will be constructed

* Evaluation of tenders and reporting thereon

* Provide advice on implications of different construction methods, materials etc

* Prepare bills of quantities

* Preparation of final accounts

Requirements:

* Ideally knowledge of the construction sector and solid technical skill set required.

* Recognised Quantity Surveying degree

* Good communication skills

* Good organisation and planning

* Good numeracy skills

* Work well as part of a team

* Flexible and able to work well under pressure and meet simultaneous deadlines/targets

* Full UK driving licence essential

* Use of Microsoft office necessary.
