Glazier Operative

SOUTHERN REGION

Beehive Recruitment are on the lookout for a Glazier Operative within the large commercial glazing sector we are working with a specialist services supplier, from building maintenance to window and technical cleaning, platform hire and equipment testing – self-delivered services.

The Division

Their maintenance are a working at height contractor working throughout UK, servicing facilities management clients and the refurbishment industry alike.

Their national coverage operates from four UK depots to offer planned and reactive building fabric maintenance and refurbishment services to commercial, retail and industrial sectors. They currently employee 350 employees directly across the Group and own a fully serviced truck mounted access fleet, which they use in house for reactive and planned maintenance and cleaning requests

Your job will include:

Have a full UK Driving licence
Experience in large commercial and retail glazing replacement – reactive and planned
Experience co-ordinating spider lifting cranes, glass suction devices, curtain walling, all types of vertical or overhead glazing.
Must be flexible with working hours
Comfortable in servicing the south of England (London and surrounding regions)
Experience with working at heights performing glazing tasks
Able to survey glazing and read / extract specific O&M information
Familiar with merlin and laser measuring tools
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and clients

Desirable Skills

IPAF (1b, 3a, eb)
CSCS labourer or skilled worker
PASMA
First aid
NVQ (Slating & Tiling / Sheeting & cladding)
Reactive building maintenance identifying leaks & rectification (pitched roofing, guttering, slating, concrete tiling, GRP flat roofing)
