Invision are currently representing a leading Multi-disiplinary Contractor who are seeking to recruit a Geotechnical Design Engineer and to be based in their regional office in Milton Keynes.They specialise in major Civil Engineering projects throughout the United Kingdom

Duties:

* Provide geotechnical expertise to all bidding divisions during pre-construction, as well as on-site teams during construction and the temporary works design team as required.

* Identify geotechnical risks and protect the business from geotechnical problems that might affect construction cost and or programme.

* Attend and contribute to key tender meetings such as “ground down” reviews and action outcomes in line with the timescales agreed with the bid team.

* Be aware of and advise colleagues of geotechnical considerations, innovation and the potential for alternative solutions.

* Assist in winning tenders by finding cost and time saving geotechnical solutions.

* Interrogate geotechnical data and review designs provided.

* Request and obtain further geotechnical information if required.

* Undertake design of alternative solutions as required.

* Request and obtain further geotechnical information if required.

* Select, work with and manage geotechnical suppliers and sub-contractors as required.

* Arrange, manage and supervise supplementary geotechnical investigations as required.

Requirements:

* Minimum Bachelors Degree Qualified: Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering

* Minimum 3 years experience
