Fire / Security Design Engineer
£33,000-£38,000 Basic Salary
X1 position Fire (alarms, lighting, extinguishers, detection)
X1 position Security (CCTV, access control, etc)
There will be commission to earn with this role too which is uncapped. A similar person in this role is looking at a £50k OTE this year alone

MUST HAVE: FIA Parts 1, 2 & 3 certificated OR FIA 1 & 5 (or equivalent)

You’ll be part of a busy, dynamic design team for one of the largest fire and security companies with offices all across the UK. You’ll be part of the Group who have over 2000 locations worldwide.
Responsibilities
As part of our exciting growth strategy, a new role for a Fire Sales & Design Engineer within is now available. The role is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for individuals experienced or knowledgeable in fire safety systems. The primary objective of the role is to promote, design and sell the full portfolio of Fire & Life Safety solutions to both existing and new customers. As part of this role you will be responsible for working with, and supporting, the regions established Security Systems Sales Team in servicing, sourcing and developing new Fire & Life Safety business opportunities. You will be expected to assist our existing bid team as well as develop new tender opportunities from public sector, electrical contractors, M&E consultants and building contractors.
The successful applicant will have a target driven mentality together with a strong focus on achieving clear goals and objectives. The role requires a fire life safety compliance & product knowledge, determination and a dedication to being totally customer focused.
Objectives
Professional approach to Fire & Life Safety Systems design and sales.
Lifecycle approach to ensure compliancy and quality
Achieve and exceed Sales Installation OV Targets.
Ensure that CRM records are maintained promptly and accurately
Maintain a regular liaison with identified key Influencers
Proactively research, identify and convert new business opportunities
Maintain accurate records within SalesForce for all customer/influencer activity
Ensure optimum cross-selling activity of all related Fire & Security products.
Responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in conjunction with the Sales Manager.
Provide reliable and accurate sales forecasts to the Sales Manager
The applicant
Proven ability to design and sell fire and life safety solutions for a wide range of commercial applications
FIA Parts 1, 2 & 3 certificated (or equivalent)
Extensive knowledge of BS5839 Part 1
Knowledge of BS5266 an advantage
Self-motivated
Customer focused
Must be able to Drive to office locations when necessary
Strong communication and presentation skills
Attention to detail
Results driven and have a hunger to succeed
Knowledge of security integration
Achieved or exceeded Recurring Revenue Targets
Achieved or exceeded Key Response Targets
