Finishing Manager – National House Builder

Traditional Build Houses & Flats

Freelance: Up to £250 per day (CIS)

Milton Keynes

We are currently searching for a Finishing Manager who can take the lead on a large residential new build project based in Milton Keynes. The scheme will see the construction of over 350 houses and 60 apartments over the next two years with follow on phases still in planning. As Finishing Manager, you will be responsible for all internal finishing operations for the plots throughout this project, ensuring they are ready for handover to tenants.

This company are a 5* house builder and boast highs of 10,000 units sold a year. This business has seen steady growth over the past 5 years and now sites comfortable on over £3 Billion turnover.

Role:

* Act as the key manager overseeing plots from 1st fix through to handover.

* Organise and supervise all trade packages with support from subcontractor supervisors.

* Ensure health & safety standards are upheld throughout the project

* Chair weekly meetings with senior management and subcontractors

* As Finishing Manager, you will be in a customer-facing role as well so you must bring exceptional customer service into the role and be able to liaise with the sales team throughout the build stage.

Required:

* 3+ years management experience on traditional build housing sites is essential.

* Experience taking projects from groundworks through to handover.

* Advanced awareness of H&S and reporting.

* Knowledge of basic IT systems is essential, such as Microsoft Office.

* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid are essential.
