Responsibilities:
Designing and Building the Swish Network is the next main focus of the business as we aim to meet our ambitious role out plan, and it is time to recruit a Cabling/Test Rod & Rope engineer to support the next stage of our growth. The Cabling/Test Rod & Rope engineers main responsibility will be to test rod and rope, installation of cables, sub duct both underground and overhead.
Test Rod & Roping
Proving the PIA network
Pull in sub duct & cable in PIA & Swish networks UG & O/H
locating blockages & updating required systems with box to box
Producing A55s
Requirements:
Experience of Test Rod & Roping / cabling the Openreach network
PIA network experience
Installation of cables, sub duct UG & OH
Installation of fibre nodes UG & OH
Locate blockages and establish clear routes
Produce A55’s in consultation with the main Surveyor
Completion and submission of all necessary documentation
Compliance with all Health, Safety, Quality Control & Environmental policies
Civils avoidance experience
PIA accreditation desirable although upskilling will be provided for suitable candidates
MEWP licence would be desirable
Full Driving License that permits you to drive a vehicle in the UK
Hold a valid NRSWA street works operative unit 2 card
Confident at working at heights and underground network
