At Bletchley Park, we are looking for a Facilities Manager who has the following skills and experiences:
Knowledge of statutory maintenance requirements, including fire awareness and
prevention, health & safety, asbestos management.
Experience in staff management.
Experience in contractor and supplier management, coordination, and service level
monitoring.
Demonstrable experience of management and monitoring of costs.
Strong IT skills with competency in Microsoft Office and database packages.
Good inter-personal skills, approachable and able to direct and motivate a team.
Good written and verbal skills.
Numerate, methodical, organised and with good attention to detail.
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Good coordination and planning skills, with the ability to undertake operational / hands on
duties.
Appreciation of historic buildings and practices.
As a Facilities Manager at Bletchley Park, your responsibilities will include:
Managing and delivering the necessary repair and maintenance works onsite.
Assisting the Site Works team with urgent tasks or as an extra pair of hands if requested.
Administering regular building and site audits to ensure compliance, presentability and
actively identify current or future maintenance requirements.
Managing materials procurement for Site Works along with stationery, subsistence, and
other supporting purchasing for the entire team.
Managing the use of non-customer facing storage buildings.
Instigating, operating, and maintaining an effective e-filing system for the department
alongside the Health and Safety Officer.
Assisting the Head of Site Works with the delivery of capital and/or restoration works, and
other projects as required.
Working with the Health and Safety Officer to ensure all equipment and tools are functional
and accessible, and the team receive the necessary training.
Undertaking any other duties as reasonably requested.
You will be working 37.5 hours per week with some out-of-hours work required. This will be recompensed by time in lieu.
In return, you will receive a salary of circa £32,000 per annum plus 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), a company pension scheme and a BUPA wellbeing cash plan.
