About The Role
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.
EKFB Are looking to recruit a Communications Manager.
This role sits within the EKFB Communications team reporting to the Head of Communications. You will be responsible for raising the profile of EKFB, increasing awareness of our role in building HS2 and telling compelling stories that give insight into the engineering challenges building the railway. You will build and nurture a strong industry network, ensuring that EKFB has a strong and trusted reputation in our marketplace. You will develop and execute effective communications and media relations programmes, working alongside client media teams to ensure compliance. You will be the custodian of EKFB’s image in the external marketplace, working closely with the Employee Communications Manager to ensure a consistent message both inside and outside the organisation.
The location for the role will be flexible, but frequent travel to our offices along the route will be required, notably Milton Keynes, Brackley and client offices in Birmingham.
About The Candidate
Contribute to the EKFB communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
Develop and deliver media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
Coordinate all public relations activities
Work with the wider Communications and Community Engagement team to develop and deliver social media strategy to engage audiences across traditional and new media
Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
Create content for press releases, articles and keynote presentations
Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results on a monthly basis
Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis.
Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
Work closely with Social Value Manager to identify opportunities for external recognition
Support in development of wider CRM for stakeholder management
Take photographs and produce film material for relevant events
Coordinate with parent companies’ PR / communications teams
Identify opportunities to use latest technology to improve both internal and external communications
