Brief Outline

We are currently looking for an experienced Estimator / Surveyor to join an established Passive Fire Protection Installation company who is expanding their Fire Protection Operations.

Our client is a specialist Firestopping, Fireproofing and Passive Fire Protection company experiencing a substantial period of business growth

About the Role

You will be working closely with, and reporting to, the company’s Managing Director and will assist the senior management team in delivering passive fire protection services, in the commercial and residential sectors

Responsibilities:

Handling customer enquiries, arrange/carry out site surveys and collate information required for tendering/quoting.
Carry out site visits and maintain customer engagement to gather essential project information for correct pricing of works
Assess tender requirements and provide information to commercial team
Sourcing of costs for suppliers and sub-contractors cost management
Following up on quotations with clients to clarify queries/questions
Facilitate smooth handover of secured projects to the operational management team
Keep abreast of changes in legislation and implement accordingly.
Ensure record keeping systems are maintained in line with expected company and
3rd party accreditation practices and standards

About the Candidate

2-3 years of experience in Passive Fire Protection (preferably) or construction related disciplines.
Proven track record of managing a number of projects simultaneously and working within tight timescales to deliver successful outcomes and high customer satisfaction on projects.
A degree in a technical discipline is seen as an advantage for this role.
A working knowledge of BORIS (or equivalent systems) would be beneficial.
You should be able to read technical specifications and drawings in order to extract and interpret relevant information required for preparation of cost effective and compliant tenders/quotations.
Excellent computer literacy skills are essential (email, MS Office and MS project management programs).
Driving licence is a requirement of the role.
