Estimator-

We are looking for a Civils Estimator to join a successful Tier 1 contractor based in Stowe. The ideal candidate will be someone looking to make the next step in their career and work toward becoming a Senior Estimator over the next few years whilst integrating and contributing as a valuable member of the team. This person would ideally have had 2-5 years' experience on site and then a further 3-5 years of working as an Estimator.

The type of experience we are looking for is someone who has ideally worked for a regional Civils contractor with self-delivery capability and is familiar with building up rates from 1st principle but wants to get involved with larger and more complex schemes. Alternatively a person from a Tier 1 Civils contractor background who wants a more involving and rewarding career with more responsibility that would come from working for an employee owned company.

Experience using Candy estimating software would be advantageous, but if not training can be provided.

Degree in Civil engineering, Quantity surveying or construction management, woudl be preferable

Good communication skills 

IT competence including proficiency in Excel and Word.

Confidence in presenting their work to senior managers and directors.

This person should be able to apply knowledge from previous experience to overcome new problems and value engineering.
