Exciting opportunity for an Estimator to join a great contractor in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
They have built up a superb reputation as a leading Design & Build Contractor, operating across the UK – focusing on interior fit-outs / refurbishment commercial / industrial schemes
They support companies with their commercial design, construction, and maintenance projects – creating workplaces that motivate staff and build businesses, focusing on delivering solutions and maintaining a high level of customer service. Focus is on commercial schemes
Their own office space – which was designed by their Directors is bright, open plan and ultra-modern and the lay out encourages a collaborative working environment. It also has a coffee shop within the office – designed to make staff break and lunch times enjoyable
Our client now employs around 120 employees and are growing – they are currently having a record year
You will enjoy working in a flexible working environment with a friendly team, and will be given the autonomy to manage your own diary / day
The Role
You will be joining the Estimating team and will be estimating on refurbishment / interior fit out schemes ranging from £2k up to £8m
You will ensure the commercial success of projects delivered to their clients
You will maintain close contact with clients to explore new business opportunities and will manage client relationships
You will be office based with client / site visits – surveying the site then pricing up works from materials and labour
Office based role but travel to site is necessary for site surveys and client meetings
Area: All around the UK
The right person
·Experience in interiors/construction estimating is required. Must be commercial sites (offices/warehouses), not domestic or shop-fitting.
·Must have experience in pricing from surveys and producing a quotation based on own labour and materials
·Experienced of pricing from spec and drawings would also be useful, but above is vital
·You will be personable and client facing
The Package
·Salary: Very much dependent upon experience but can be from £45k – £60k
·Benefits: Car allowance £5k per annum, mobile phone and laptop
