Estimator

£30,000 – £40,000 doe

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Estimator to join a successful and respected family run business, that have provided tree care, hard & soft landscaping, and grounds maintenance for nearly 40 years.

Having strong relationships with local authorities, commercial contracts, and housing associations, has led to an increased demand for their services with them now looking for an Estimator to join the growing team.

Principal duties will include:

Price work in a timely manner with all supporting documentation
Gaining quotes from suppliers and contractors within timeframes
Bringing new ideas to improve the cost estimating process
Multi-tasking and prioritising multiple projects
Monitoring costs on projects to help improve the estimation process
Preparing progress reports on current works, and working closely with other internal teams
Supporting in bids and tenders
Working on hard and soft landscaping projects worth over £2m
System currently being used – Bluebeam
Bills of Quantities and schedule of rates
You will be required to be driven, self-managed and motivated. Full support will be given

The Person:

Previous experience in Estimating is essential for this role (min 2+ years)
UK Driving licence as you will be required to visit various sites
Strong communication skills are a must. You will be required to speak regularly with Quality Supervisors / Directors
Desirable – landscape / construction background
MS Office including excel
