Based just outside of Milton Keynes and with a growing presence across the Midlands, our client has built a market-leading construction proposition.

Our client is looking to bring in an experienced estimator preferably with recent involvement within Main Contracting or a steel frame Sub-Contractor environment.

This is a new and highly accountable role; you will need to be a professional self-starter and exceptional team player.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

* Produce professional, high-quality specifications, quotations and technical submittals

* Take ownership of entire tender and PQQ process, from initial enquiry to final submission

* Work with and interpret technical drawings and specifications

* Produce thorough and accurate takeoffs

* Provide accurate and analytical estimates for tender evaluation

* Build relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors

* Interact and build relationships with architects, project managers, contractor quantity surveyors, etc.

* Integrate into the wider Commercial Team

* Close collaboration with the QS and Business Development team

* Close liaison and systematic communication with internal Contract Managers and Operations Manager

* Track and report on enquiry, quote and tender levels, conversions, and other KPIs

* Develop tender/ estimating processes, systems and capabilities

* There is potential to shape and help build out the estimating function and team

Candidate Profile

* 3+ years' estimating experience

* Track record of successfully delivering tenders within the construction industry

* Proficient at pricing, analysing margins and producing accurate, commercially viable quotations

* Acute attention to detail

* Experience working with drawings

* Experience interpreting and specifying against architectural drawings

* Demonstrable understanding of common forms of contract

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Proficient in Excel

* Proficient in Autocad

* Experience of Working within 3D Models and the measurement and pricing of data

* Exceptional team player
