Estimator

Due to an increase of projects my client is looking to add to their estimating team. As an Estimator you will be working for a well established Civil Engineering Contractor based in Milton Keynes. Our client is a rapidly growing tier 1 firm who currently tender for up to 500 project per year from £5m to £80m and have a high profile client base.

The ideal candidate must be degree qualified, preferably in Civil Engineering.

Duties:

Prepare rate for each item within the BOQ from first principles, technical knowledge and experience.

Produce tender report in preparation for tender adjudication.

Attend pre & post contract reviews and client meetings (a great opportunity to gain exposure to project planning, design and costing).

Measuring & 'Taking-Off' quantities from drawings.

Sourcing pre-project information and supporting supplier / sub-contractor quotations, agreements & enquiries.

Examine contract obligations.

Mentor and train Assistants.
