The Company

Caval Recruitment's Commercial Building client based in the Milton Keynes area has a job opportunity for an experienced Estimator largely encompassing Commercial, Industrial, Warehouse, Office, Residential, Motor Dealerships and Mixed Developments. Innovative and pioneering in approach, with an enviable reputation for quality the Company's aims and objectives are to work in conjunction with both Clients and Resource Providers to provide them with a quality service from conception, through construction and thereafter throughout the lifespan of the project.

The Role

As a commercially astute Estimator, you will be accountable for all financial matters surrounding the project lifecycle to ensure all works are completed to budget. You will use previous industry experience and knowledge in order to find cost effective solutions to positively build the business turnover.

Duties

Liaising with Buyer
Material assessment
Performing measurements
Dealing with subcontractor enquiries
Responsible for preparing robust tenders
Well versed with in-house company software
Risk contingency planning and mitigation strategies
Interpret changes in cash flow and provide accurate margin reporting
Manage finances from the tendering stage all the way through to completion
Using your own initiative or work as part of a team to deliver schemes on budget
Conducting site visits as well as participating in client / design team discussions
Expected to work on own projects from initial assessment through to submission
