We are looking for a pro-active Environmental Advisor / Manager to work for a highly established and respected provider of; consultancy, testing and compliance services across the UK
This is a home-based role with extensive travel supporting the full UK business of 50+ office locations and a variety of different size project sites. Your ideal location would be in the Midlands. They are searching for an individual who will take on and deliver the environmental support for all the internal business of my client. This is a very much a 'hands-on role' which will entail implementing and monitoring environmental strategies. This position will require an individual that has excellent communication skills as the role will be to work with internal stake holders and support the project delivery teams to attain their environmental and sustainability targets.
Duties will include.
• Proactively lead and manage the Company’s site environmental policies, procedures, and practices.
• Devise strategies to encourage best practice ensuring compliance with Environmental legislation.
• Carry out regular inspections to maintain high environmental standards and reduce any incidents
• Identify environmental sustainability opportunities
• Audit and report environmental performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies
• Write environmental performance reports
• Liaise with relevant bodies such as local authorities, public bodies, and competent bodies
Your Profile
• Ideally 2/3 years current experience in a similar role,
• Must have professional membership of an appropriate environmental organisation (e.g. IEMA)
• Must have Relevant Environmental Qualification.
• Good understanding of CDM 2015
• Demonstrate strong Interpersonal skills at all levels internally and externally.
• Demonstrate knowledge of relevant Environmental legislation and guidelines.
• Excellent time management skills
• Committed to personal CPD development
• Happy to travel extensively as part of the role
