Our client a regional affordable housing organisation based across England require a several Development Project Officers to join there restructured and expanding development team.
As a Development Project Officer, you will work with the development team to identify, promote and progress land led, and developer led opportunities. You will be assisting in the project management of a caseload of schemes from inception to completion to ensure quality and budgetary control and drive forward the development programme and work alongside Local Authorities, Consultants, Developers/Contractors/House Builders and Residents.
This is an excellent opportunity for any individual who wants to progress an affordable housing development career working alongside a team of fellow Development property professionals.
Key Responsibilities
* Experienced of working within a housing development or other property-based role.
* Demonstrate a good understanding of the social housing sector and an appreciation of the challenges faced in the delivery of affordable housing.
* A passion for delivering homes that meet the aspirations of the organisations Strategy.
* Ability to communicate effectively both with internal stakeholders and the external development market, with a strong focus on detail.
* The ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to nurture and expand relationships to assist in the delivery of homes.
* Excellent communication skills and experience of working within a project team.
* Assisting in the management during the construction stage of the delivery of the development programme within a defined geography
* Assist Development Manager(s) on reporting, on a regular basis, progress on projects to the Head of Development, Development Manager and Senior Development Team
Interest in or knowledge of housing is preferable especially affordable housing, ideally to include planning process, Homes England practices, housing policies, basic construction knowledge is required to succeed in the role.
You will ideally have a further education qualification (HNC / HND / Degree) and / or relevant construction, maintenance or building related professional qualifications. However, educated to ‘A’ level standard either through educational qualifications or through relevant training and/or experience will also be considered.
You will preferably have knowledge of project management processes and excellent attention to detail
