Amida are working with privately owned, well established Main Contractor to appoint a Design Manager on a new build projects from £10 million – £100 million based from the office in Buckinghamshire. Projects range from Birmingham to London and surrounds.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Manage all processes in relation to producing a set of drawings for the construction project
Overseeing internal and external design consultant teams, controlling the development of the design concept into manufacturing and managing the installation information
Managing the design process using commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise
Supporting, understanding and advising the client as to the requirements and obligations in the development of a building design
Ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice where appropriate
Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales
Striving to eliminate health and safety risks in the design and financial risks during construction.
This Design Manager role will require a candidate with up to 5 years experience within the Design Manager role with a similar main contractor with stable and progressive career history.
