Design Coordinator – up to £50K (DOE) – Milton Keynes

We are working for a privately owned Main Contractor with an exceptional reputation within the construction market, whom due to expansion are looking to recruit a Design Coordinator to work from their head office.

Our client works on prestigious new build and refurbishment projects within the industrial and commercial sectors throughout Northern Home Counties, East Midlands and Thames Valley region ranging in value, from £3m to £12m.

Your responsibilities will include: –

* Issuing and distributing drawing packages.

* Management and review of the design development alongside the Design Manager.

* Liaising with internal and external consultants.

* Providing support to the technical team.

* Managing the day-to-day design process on the project

* Ensuring that the works are constructed in accordance with the clients requirements.

* Maintain and update project reporting.

* The ability to communicate effectively across all levels.

Person specification

* Excellent all round technical knowledge.

* Either an Architectural or Construction background.

* Previous experience with a Main Contractor would be ideal but not essential.

* An industry applicable qualification.

* Proven track record from similar sector specific organisations.

* Knowledge within Industrial/Commercial projects.

* Able to work as part of a team.

* Ability to manage the sub-contractors on site.

* Strong work ethic.

* An excellent communicator.

* Have strong commercial awareness.

* Good IT knowledge
