Design Co Ordinator (HVAC)

Buckinghamshire

Up to £80,000 for the right candidate

My client is a Cleanroom Design & Construction company, they have an ever growing project portfolio ranging from installs and refurbishments of £10k to £2 million in value and from 10 to 2,000 metres squared in scale. The business is now seeking a dynamic Design Co Ordinator, looking to make a name for themselves, supporting the Operations Director in the design and coordination of high value projects.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the design team with project design, documentation and control and design scheduling. To be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritising those tasks' completion.

Design Co Ordinator Responsibilities

Ensure design plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines.

Provide clear and consistent communication to clients and project stakeholders.

Process design issues

Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors

Ensure that all design queries are delivered on-time and within scope

Develop a detailed plan to track progress of design queries

Use appropriate techniques to manage changes in design scope & schedule.

Report and escalate to management as required.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and all stakeholders

Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation

Commit to and actively participate in a culture of continuous improvement

Take ownership

Design Co Ordinator – Qualifications

Ideally a degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience 3-5 years' of design experience and a strong experience in AutoCad and Microsoft Office Suite

Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards

Must be able to take direction and feedback constructively and positively

Essentials

Full UK Driving License

This is an office based role however you must be prepared to travel to sites across the UK

Beneficial

CSCS card holder would be a huge benefit.

Understanding of Cleanrooms, HVAC, Filtration, Compressed Air, Purified Water or Process Gases
